My shirt arrived incredibly fast! I am a huge fan of the design, and the materials used are all really nice! One of the few shirts that have a really cool and meaningful message that I would also wear around friends, family and the workplace. There truly is beauty to be found in our natural world.

About Us

Geometry From The Sun (GFTS) is a personal daily sunrise practice by Dave, documenting each morning from the Sunshine Coast, Australia. GFTS began as a personal practice — waking before dawn, watching the horizon, and finding stillness in those quiet moments before the world woke up.

What started as a way to reconnect with clarity slowly became something deeper: a daily reminder that everything in life, like the sunrise, follows rhythm, balance, and renewal.

I began sketching the geometry I saw reflected in nature — the spirals, the symmetry, the invisible order within the chaos. Over time, those drawings and photographs merged into what GFTS is today: a living expression of how art, science, and spirit can meet in a single moment of light.

Each sunrise you see here is real — captured from the beaches of the Sunshine Coast. Each design is drawn by hand, created to remind us that clarity and connection are always within reach.

This work is only possible with the steady support of my partner, Tara, whose presence, patience and belief make the continuity of this practice possible.

Geometry From The Sun isn’t just about art or clothing; it’s about carrying a piece of that morning awareness into everyday life.

Geometry From The Sun is a reflection of a journey — from searching for meaning to living in rhythm with it.

It’s a reminder that we don’t need to escape the world to find peace; we just need to rise with it.

Carry the sunrise with you.

FAQs

What does Geometry From The Sun offer?

Geometry From The Sun has two primary offerings:

1. The Living Sunrise Archive
A growing digital archive of real sunrises captured along the Sunshine Coast, Australia.
Each sunrise is preserved as a raw, high-resolution photograph - a quiet record of light as it appeared on that day.

Access to the archive is available through optional support, helping sustain the daily practice.

2. Apparel & Physical Pieces
Print-on-demand shirts, hoodies, long sleeves, totes, and wall art, featuring selected sunrise moments and sacred geometry designs.
All apparel is produced through our print partner, Printful.

Print-on-demand companions that act as spaces for reflection and prompts for first light exposure.

All companions are produced through our print partner, Lulu.

What is the Living Sunrise Archive?

The Living Sunrise Archive is a continuously growing collection of raw sunrise images, captured daily as part of a personal and ongoing ritual.

It is not a curated “best of” gallery - it is a living record of presence, repetition, and light over time.

New sunrises are added regularly.

How do I access the Living Sunrise Archive?

After supporting the archive, you’ll receive a confirmation email with instructions and a private access link to the archive.

The archive is currently hosted securely via Google Drive for reliability and ease of access.

You can return to it at any time.

Are the sunrise images edited or optimised?

The archive contains raw, high-resolution images as captured.

They are not optimised for specific devices or altered into themed moods - the intent is preservation rather than enhancement.

You’re welcome to use them personally as wallpapers, reference images, or quiet moments of reflection.

Can I download and keep the images?

Yes. Once you have access, you may download and store images for personal use.

You’re free to revisit or download past sunrises whenever you like.

What does “optional support” mean?

Access to the archive is offered in the spirit of support rather than transaction.

Your contribution helps sustain:

  • daily sunrise capture
  • long-term archival storage
  • website hosting and platform costs

There is no pressure - support is simply a way of carrying the practice forward.

Can I use the sunrise images commercially?

No.
All images in the archive are for personal use only.

If you’re interested in licensing imagery for commercial projects, exhibitions, or collaborations, feel free to reach out directly - conversations are welcome.

When will my order arrive?

All apparel is made to order by Printful and companions by Lulu, reducing waste and overproduction.

Typical timelines:

Production: 2–5 business days
Shipping:

  • Australia: 5–10 business days
  • International: 10–20 business days (varies by location)

You’ll receive a tracking link via email once your order ships.

How should I care for printed apparel?

To preserve print quality and fabric integrity:

  • Wash cold, inside out, gentle cycle
  • Use mild detergent, no bleach
  • Hang dry or tumble dry low
  • If ironing is needed, iron inside-out on low
  • Avoid dry cleaning and harsh chemicals

These guidelines follow Printful’s care recommendations.

Are your products sustainable?

Yes, by design:

  • Apparel is made to order, reducing waste
  • No excess inventory is held
  • Digital offerings have no physical footprint

The aim is minimal impact and intentional creation.

Can I return or exchange items?

Digital access:
Archive access is free to access.

Apparel and Companions:
If an item arrives misprinted, damaged, or defective, we’ll replace it free of charge.
Please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos of the issue.

For full details, see our Refund Policy.

I entered the wrong email or address — what should I do?

If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible at:

geometryfromthesun@gmail.com

If the order hasn’t entered production or access hasn’t been issued, we can usually fix it.

Do you offer discounts or bundles?

Occasionally, yes - but sparingly.

Geometry From The Sun isn’t built around constant promotions or urgency.
When offers appear, they’re intentional and limited.

How often is the archive updated?

The archive grows as the practice continues - typically daily, weather and circumstance permitting.

Each sunrise is recorded as it is, without pressure to perform or curate.

What if I have more questions?

You’re always welcome to reach out via the Contact page or email.

We usually respond within 24–48 hours.

A quiet note

Geometry From The Sun isn’t a content factory or a lifestyle brand.

It’s a living practice shared openly, supported gently, and sustained over time.

If it resonates, you’re already part of it.

Behind The Lens

Every image begins long before the shutter clicks — in the quiet moments before dawn, when the horizon hums with possibility.

Each sunrise is captured in real time along the Sunshine Coast, without filters or manipulation, just the light as it arrives.

What you see is what was — the Earth turning, the ocean breathing, and a reminder that clarity is always within reach.
