Liminal Horizons is drawn from the space between one state and another - the moments before sunrise when night has begun to loosen its hold, but daylight has not yet arrived. These moments are neither fully night nor fully day, making them a natural place to consider transition, uncertainty and possibility.

The collection grew from spending time in that space before the daily sunrise series began, when simply watching and photographing these changing horizons was becoming a practice in itself.

Each Liminal Horizons design pairs a photograph taken before the sun had appeared with hand-drawn geometry created during the same period of exploration. Without the sun itself in the frame, the work focuses on the subtle changes in colour, light and atmosphere that announce its approach. The geometry introduces another layer of observation, creating a dialogue between the changing natural horizon and deliberate geometric form.
