Welcome
Geometry From The Sun (GFTS) is a slow, ongoing practice built around a simple daily ritual I keep - watching the sun rise.
Each morning, a sunrise is recorded, observed, and shared. Mostly as raw and unfiltered imagery, though sometimes paired with my own hand drawn geometry, personal reflections, or designs.
This space exists to quietly document those moments.
What This Is
GFTS is:
- a daily light ritual
- a growing archive of sunrises from the east coast of Australia
- a creative practice grounded in observation, presence, and daily discipline
- expressions (prints, objects, clothing) that come from that ritual, not before it
There is no task to complete and no outcome to achieve.
This is not a performance cycle — it’s a practice.
What This Is Not
GFTS is not:
- a belief system
- a movement or community you’re expected to join
- a productivity method or self-improvement framework
It has no hidden teachings, belief systems, or frameworks you’re expected to adopt.
Nothing here requires agreement, commitment, or alignment.
You’re free to engage, observe, or leave at any time.
How to Engage
You can engage with GFTS in whatever way feels natural:
- Watch the daily sunrise videos
- Browse the archive of images
- Read reflections if they resonate
- Hold or use an artefact that came from the practice
Some people stay briefly.
Some return often.
Some simply pass through once.
You’re free to engage lightly, deeply, or not at all — there’s nothing to keep up with.
About the Ritual
At the centre of GFTS is a personal ritual:
Waking early.
Going to the coast.
Watching the sun rise.
Recording what’s there.
It’s not symbolic or ceremonial.
It’s simply attention, repeated.
It’s something I return to each morning, regardless of outcome, audience, or result.
Commerce, Quietly
Some offerings here exist to support the continuation of the practice.
They are optional.
If you choose to support GFTS, you’re supporting the time, travel, and consistency required to keep returning to the sunrise.
Nothing here is behind forced obligation or gated belief.
If you don’t support it financially, you’re still welcome here.
Nothing is taken from you unless you choose to give.
If You’re Curious
If you’d like to understand the philosophy, geometry, or long-form reflections behind the work, they’re available - but not required.
You don’t need context to engage.
You don’t need to understand everything.
It’s okay if none of this resonates.
A Final Note
GFTS isn’t trying to convince you of anything.
It’s an invitation to pause, to notice light, and to remember that each day begins whether we acknowledge it or not.
Carry the sunrise with you - or don’t.
Either way makes sense.
